TCC CPS Web Participation Guidelines

Living Better with Challenging Children:
TCC Collaborative Problem Solving
Web Participation Guidelines

Plan ahead:
·        The link for signing in can be found at the CollaborativeParent.org site on the Schedule tab. It will also be e-mailed to you before the group.  The password for log-in will be e-mailed separately.
·        Keep in mind that your immediate environment will be broadcast and visible to other participants. Items behind and around you may be visible. Sounds in your environment will be audible.
·        Before the first group, please complete the forms requested. (One registration form per family and one TK-COT 1-5 per adult)
·        Take some time before each group begins to download and print materials so you have them to take notes on and use during the training.
·        It is best to keep your computer muted to improve the audio broadcast to all. When you want to ask a question or make a comment, unmute yourself. The mute/unmute can be toggled by clicking on the microphone icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
·        The “Web Access Page for Collaborative Parent Groups” will have weekly links for:
o   Registration Form (First week only)
o   Weekly Powerpoint
o   Other Needed Materials
o   Weekly Feedback Form (One per adult per week)
o   Weekly TK-COT Form (One per adult per week)
o   Weekly Review Materials (These are optional, but recommended)

During the training:

  • Please silence cell phone.
  • Conduct and seat yourself as you would if you were physically present in the room.
  • Ask questions as they come up.
  • We want you to participate as if you were in the room and hope that you will.
    • When you do talk:
      • Be within 2-3 feet from the computer microphone
      • Speak clearly
      • Keep in mind that there may be a little lag time
    • The tech we use is very good, but not perfect!
  • What you say and do is as visible and audible as if you were sitting next to the other participants.
